Dori, Chuck and Barbara traveled back to Jii Nou’s village, Ban Nong Hong Song. They met with the Naiban, Nhiatou Yang , Anouson Thoj and Lamina Thoj.
After much discussion, everyone agreed that Anouson and his wife Lamina would take over guardianship of Jii Nou. They were not able to find any caregivers for the boy’s stay at COPE Center. They came forward and stepped up to take responsibility for Jii Nou. They will be his caregivers while at the COPE Center and attend to his needs. They will bring Jii Nou to Vientiane and we will meet them and all go to COPE tomorrow. His father signed over custody to the loving couple and will make other legal documents in the future to secure Jii Nou’s future.
