   Founder and President Dori Shimoda has passions and aspirations of giving back: to provide choices to those having little choice and hope to those who think hope is elusive. He is a Senior Vice President at NYCE Payments Network, a subsidiary of Metavante Corporation and M&I Bank. Dori is on the board of the University of San Francisco, Center for the Pacific Rim. Previously, his business career focused on strategic business development at JP Morgan Chase and Citibank in the United States and internationally. Dori's knowledge and experience with numerous business startups have enabled Give Children A Choice's stellar progress to date. His aspirations for Give Children A Choice are to lead the organization in helping children with the greatest educational needs worldwide.  Vice President Barbara Shimoda is a registered nurse and is CEO of Timeless Image Enterprises, a laser aesthetics clinic located in the heart of SOHO in New York City. There, she applies her skills and artistry to improve her clients' appearance and, more important, self-esteem. She is sought after worldwide for her services. Barbara's other life long passion is helping children. In working with her husband Dori with Give Children A Choice, she has come to share his love of Laos and Cambodia. Give Children A Choice has given Barbara the opportunity to combine her love for children and her nursing skills to improve the lives of the children Give Children A Choice touches. Under her leadership, Barbara is improving the health for all the children who attend Give Children A Choice's preschools and their siblings through her health, hygiene and immunization programs.  Executive Director Debbie Davis is dedicated to a broad range of volunteer and fund raising programs, notably the United Way, the Allen Tate Education Foundation, the Union County Arts and Science Council, the Union County Literacy Council and many local children's charities and programs. She has extended those desires to help children in need with Give Children A Choice, overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the organization. Debbie is a Staff Accountant with Allen Tate Realtors, the largest independent real estate brokerage in the Southeast. |
